March Events & DANDY DAY!

Wow!  March is almost here, and is FILLED with fun events and opportunities for our Dandy friends!  

The first thing you need to know about is that our Easter Launch is next Tuesday, March 5th!  On this day we will be featuring new Spring displays, table settings, and our infamous Easter Basket Bar, where we will have specially curated toys for Dandy Littles in your life, as well as a fresh batch of hand-made chocolates, marshmallows and crispy rice treats on a stick!  This is a fun time to build your baskets for your little ones, and leave the complimentary wrapping up to us!  Our real-touch faux tulips, peonies & roses will be all stocked up as well!

Be sure to join us on Saturday, March 16th at the Women’s Expo at AWC where we will have our first ever DANDY Trade Show Booth!  We are so excited to bring a taste of Dandy to the women at the Expo!  Our shop will still be open that day for those of you not attending the Expo!  

This next one is a BIG one for us!!!!!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 23rd, for DANDY DAY!  This day will be filled with local food vendors (including Mostly Muffins with breakfast and lunch!!!) outside where you can gather up with your friends or your family for some yummy food and treats, as well as see fresh displays inside and out.  We will have free, live demonstrations going on inside the store, as well as ticketed workshops in our expanded space next door.  Here is a sample of the workshops that will be offered:  Space will be limited for each class, and is only RSVP’d by purchasing a ticket for each workshop in-store, or on our web store under: Workshops.  All workshops will include a snack and a yummy drink!

WORKSHOPS:

-Breakfast Dessert and Mimosas with Laura Dunn from Dandy. (Listen in to some fun ideas for breakfast gatherings, dishes, entertaining and traditions, while also sampling a homemade breakfast dessert and mimosa made by Laura...trust us...you don’t ever want to miss something she puts on a plate!) (40 mins) (9:00 -9:40 AM) ($20)   

-Little Miss Dandy Tea with Laura and Amanda from Dandy. (This is a really fun opportunity for little girls ages 4-14!  In this workshop, your little Miss will learn a little etiquette and hosting skills while sipping on tea and enjoying !  This is also a nice opportunity for moms to have some time to shop or meet up with Dandy friends next door during the workshop.  Your Dandy Miss will even go home with a little souvenir from the day! (45 mins) (10:00-10:45 AM) ($20)

-Hand Lettering 101 Class with Ashley from Fearfully Made Creations Session 1: (Learn how to practice with your very own calligraphy pen as Ashley walks you through the steps of hand lettering during this fun class!  You’ll receive instruction as well as practice sheets that will leave you with the ability to begin creating your own calligraphy pieces, inspired by Ashley’s unique calligraphy!) (1Hr.) (11:00-12:00) ($18)

-Hand-Stamped Tea Towel Class with Erin from Audrey’s Shop. (Learn how to use these special stamps and paints to create a custom tea towel that you get to go home with to use or to gift!  Erin is joining us all the way from her own shop, Audrey’s in Phoenix, AZ, and will guide you through the process and will show you options and tips for how to customize your towel.  What fun to learn a new skill while enjoying time with other crafters!) (1 Hr.) (12:15-1:15) ($18)

-Chalk Paint and Wax Demo with Erin from Audrey’s Shop. (Have you ever wanted to learn more about how to work with chalk paint and waxes to achieve that chippy, vintage look?  Then this is the workshop for you!  Erin is joining us all the way from her own shop, Audrey’s, in Phoenix, AZ.  Erin is a certified chalk-paint specialist and distributor, and will discuss and instruct the technique behind many of the lovely vintage pieces we are in love with.  You’ll get a chance to work with the product and will even have some things to take home to get you inspired to begin. (1 Hr.) (1:30-2:30) ($44)

-Faux Floral Arranging with Amanda Mellon from Dandy. (Do you love the look of real plants and florals, but have black thumbs?  Amanda can relate!!!  Learn how to use faux stems and florals in your space in a way that will leave everyone thinking they are the real thing, while saving money on plant replacement!  Along with inspiration and instruction, you will be creating an arrangement to take home with you.) (45 mins) (2:45-3:30) ($35)
